Minemet (Pty) Ltd is a privately owned, family run business, dedicated to sustainability and environmentally-friendly solutions. We strive to extract value from industrial waste materials to produce useful products and promote the circular economy.

We are South Africa's only local producer of sodium molybdate. We use innovative technology that has been developed locally in South Africa.  

We specialise in the recycling of spent oil refinery catalysts. Through our established thermal treatment and hydrometallurgical processing technologies, we have successfully recycled thousands of tons of spent catalyst, preventing the hazardous waste material from being sent to landfill. 

We supply our products into the South African agricultural markets, glass and pigment industries, and water treatment facilities. Our product range includes Molybdenum, Cobalt and Nickel salts.
